More power with the same range

The Dacia Spring increases both in terms of performance and battery. Two new engines, each with 70 and 100 hp of power, give the dynamics of the small electric car a proper upgrade and improve handling, especially at high speeds. Despite the increase in performance, the range remains unchanged at 225 km (WLTP), even though Dacia now installs a smaller battery with 24.3 kWh instead of 26.8 kWh. The improved efficiency of the new lithium iron phosphate battery with a consumption of 12.4 kWh/100 km makes this possible.

With a new onboard charger with up to 40 kW in the Extreme trim, charging from 20% to 80% of the charge takes just 29 minutes. Also a significant increase compared to the previous 30 kW charger. However, the 7 kW charger remains standard equipment, but there are also slight improvements in charging speed thanks to the new battery. 20 to 100% on a 7 kW wallbox now takes 3 hours and 20 minutes instead of the previous 4 hours.

Other changes to the 2026 Dacia Spring

In addition to the main changes to the drive and battery, there are also some innovations in smaller details. There were minor adjustments to the body for better aerodynamics, such as a new rear spoiler. A new anti-roll bar also ensures better handling. Otherwise, the Dacia Spring is largely unchanged and remains a cheap alternative for entering electric mobility.
